Why digital visual supports matter
Therapists know visual tools work. But the physical versions have real limitations.
Physical tools are holding families back
- Expensive: $30+ per item, and most people need several
- Fragile: laminated cards get lost, torn, or chewed
- Not portable: can't bring a velcro board everywhere
- One-size-fits-all: hard to customize for each individual
- Inaccessible: not every family can afford them
SpeakMyWay makes them digital, free & accessible
- Core tools always free, with premium features coming soon
- Web-based: works on any device with a browser
- Portable: use it at home, school, therapy, or on the go
- Customizable: tailor every tool to each person's needs
- Evidence-based: built on frameworks therapists trust

Backed by evidence-based autism research
These aren't just apps. They're digital versions of tools that decades of clinical research have proven effective.
Visual schedules are 1 of 28 evidence-based practices identified by the National Clearinghouse on Autism Evidence and Practice (NCAEP).
CDC prevalence rate for autism in the US. Many of these individuals are visual learners who benefit from visual supports.
Average cost of a single physical visual schedule or timer. SpeakMyWay provides these tools free.
Research consistently shows that visual schedules reduce anxiety, increase independence, and improve activity transitions for autistic individuals. These tools are recommended by speech-language pathologists, occupational therapists, and behavioral therapists as part of comprehensive treatment plans. SpeakMyWay brings these proven tools into the digital age, accessible to every family.

Built by a dad who needed it to exist
My name is Keith Gutierrez. I'm a father, an MIS professor at Temple University, and a former Change Management Consultant at Salesforce. But the reason SpeakMyWay exists has nothing to do with my resume.
My daughter has autism, a speech delay, and OCD. Her therapists recommended visual schedules and structured tools to help with transitions and daily routines. So we bought them. Card sets, velcro boards, laminated strips. And then the problems started.
We never had enough cards. We'd lose some. We'd buy a different set to fill the gap and the images wouldn't match. Different art styles, different sizes, different layouts. My daughter noticed every inconsistency, and it upset her. The tools that were supposed to reduce stress were creating it.
On top of that, the cost adds up fast. $30 here, $40 there, and most families need multiple sets across home, school, and therapy. Not every family can afford that.
So I built what I wished existed: a free, digital version of the tools her therapists recommended, with consistent visuals, on any device, available to every family that needs them.
SpeakMyWay isn't a startup. It's a solution I built for my family that I want everyone to have access to.
